Case Study: WIB Technologies
Background: WIB Technologies, a Dallas TX based business automation consulting firm, was facing a 29% increase on their fully insured health plan.

Background: Pittsburgh Pipe, a St. Louis based steel pipe manufacturer has long found themselves on what we like to call the carrier go round. Every few years changing from one major carrier to the other. In 2023 their costs were expected to go up a staggering 32% to $11,146 PEPY (Per employee per year) on their fully insured plan.
Results: After approaching them with the intent to educate on the benefits of moving into a captive self-funded program we found ourselves deep in discussion about the many ways companies are lowering their spend. Not having the claims data we felt was necessary to effectively evaluate the captive model, we collectively landed on a level-funded health plan that took that 32% increase and turned it in to a $2,137 savings PEPY. With this six-figure savings the company was able to turn around and invest in expanding the benefit offering with additional employer paid benefits. Bringing the employees of Pittsburgh Pipe the richest benefit offering the company has ever had and making them one of the most competitive employers in the market.
